Blog 61: A powerful practice - 4 mantras

A patient and friend first gave me the book, Zero Limits. A great read and an even better practice to cultivate…(put it on the reading list).

In it they talk about a Hawaiian healing practice called Ho-pono-pono. Its a prayer or a mantra that goes like this:

I love you. I am sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. (on repeat)

So when something triggers you. Like for me, when I feel my energy starting to become erratic, angry, frustrated, fearful. Thats a call to use the mantra to help dissipate the challenging energy rising.

It’s becoming conscious that what we react to is meant for us to learn from.

So next time, when you feel emotions, feelings, thoughts that are not desirable. (maybe you are in a pattern with a relative or a significant others where there are triggers, or is that just me? lol). Breathe. In your mind (or out loud) feel the frustration, anger, sadness etc. Then use the mantra, “I love you. I am sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you!” and breathe and repeat it. Do this until you for a more neutral place.

There is magic in letting the negative wave neutralise. It loses its grip when you breathe and hold this 4 phrase pattern on repeat in your mind.

Part of what is so amazing is the book helps you see your own power.

Sometimes it can feel like we are a victim to these triggers and we lose our power by handing it over. When we choose to realise these experiences are meant for us and ARE us we can see that we can DO something. We can work on neutralizing the energy and be grateful for the opportunity to change and grow.
