Blog 62: Sacred Time.

DO you ever think about TIME in a positive way? Like that you can make it work for you? We all have the same amount of time, but we all don’t use it the same…. here is some ideas to ponder.

What are your rituals? When is your energy peaking? When do you get your best ideas? How do carve this space out daily and weekly?

In the last decade I have been blessed by getting to know quite a few very successful and extremely purposeful people. These mentors of mine have instilled many gifts into my life. One of the biggest has been being purposeful with time.

We all have 24 hours in our linear day. However what we are able to do with that time is anything but the same.

Some ways I have become better at using time (and am still working at becoming better)…

  1. To think you DO have enough time for what matters each day. You DON’T need to find time for everything, but the things that matter you can get in.

  2. I pay attention to my energy in regards to time of day. I am most clear and energised in the early hours. This is when I can create most. I can dream most. Do things when it energetically makes the most sense to do them.

  3. Create patterns. I know for me, exercise is best at the first 1/2 of the day. I know my creativity is the best in the first half of the day. Basically anything that requires more of my brain power, happens earlier. So the evenings, can be more relaxed. More social, more play. Even TV (mostly to connect with Kyle and do what he is doing).

  4. Don’t wait. Make time work for you today. What can you get in, that in the past you wouldn’t try to squeeze in. Squeeze the most from your day. Its truly amazing what you can do with 24 hours. It is also amazing what you can do with 1 hour. But you must TRY.

Get playful. I now think of myself as a time bender. I can make time stretch for me. I will get what I need from my day! You can too!
